After months of anticipation, EA and Battlefield Studios have officially unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Battlefield 6, along with a confirmed beta schedule and a wide range of multiplayer modes. The blockbuster shooter is set to launch on October 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

At a special showcase event today, EA and Battlefield Studios delivered the first official look at Battlefield 6, focusing on its signature large-scale multiplayer gameplay. Alongside the cinematic and gameplay trailers, the developers revealed key details about maps, modes, a revamped destruction system, and the much-anticipated beta timeline.

Multiple Modes and Maps at Launch

Battlefield 6 will feature nine maps on release day, supporting familiar modes such as Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush. Fans can also enjoy Team Deathmatch, Domination, King of the Hill, and a brand-new mode called Escalation, which promises deeper tactical gameplay.

The beloved Battlefield Portal is also returning, enabling players to craft their own custom battles. This time, the mode comes with an integrated map editor and more robust tools for deeper creativity.

Enhanced Destruction and Massive Battlefields

One of the most talked-about upgrades is the improved environmental destruction system. Players can now destroy individual walls, floors, and structures with increased realism, adding strategic depth to every engagement.

Though not fully confirmed, EA hinted during the event that the Firestorm battle royale mode may be making a comeback—potentially as a free-to-play standalone experience.

Battlefield 6 Beta Schedule

EA announced two major beta phases throughout August:

  • Early Access: Starts August 7 for Battlefield Labs members and those who watch partnered Twitch streams on July 31.
  • Open Beta Phase 1: Runs from August 9 to August 11.
  • Open Beta Phase 2: Runs from August 14 to August 17.

The full game launches on October 10, 2025, across PC (Steam, EA App, Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.

PC Requirements – Estimated

While official specs haven’t been fully released, players can expect system requirements on par with recent high-end shooters. Rumored specs include:

  • CPU: 10th Gen Intel Core i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 or higher
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070 / AMD RX 6800 or better
  • RAM: 16GB

With over two decades of legacy behind it, Battlefield 6 aims to push the franchise forward with the combined effort of four leading studios working together under the unified banner of Battlefield Studios.

“We’re bringing back the all-out warfare Battlefield is known for,” said Byron Beede, EA’s Senior VP. Meanwhile, Vince Zampella, Executive VP, added, “Battlefield 6 is something truly special—we can’t wait to get it into players’ hands.”

With explosive gameplay, innovative mechanics, and a clear launch roadmap, Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated shooters of 2025.
